My name is Gareth Shears and I am an Independent Financial Adviser with Niche Chartered Financial Planners working alongside Michael Graham Young Estate Agents.

I believe very strongly that the foundation of a good financial adviser is excellent technical knowledge. For this reason I have passed the industry standard examination, the Certificate in Financial Planning. I am currently working towards my Diploma in Financial Planning which will be the industry standard from 1st January 2013 that all financial advisers will need to practice. I have also passed the Mortgage Advice Qualification (MAQ).
